Benefits of scrapping your end of life vehicle with Authorised Scrappers

Benefits announced by Government when the end of life vehicle is scrapped by the Authorised Scrappers:

1. When it is implemented there is no registration charge while buying a new vehicle of the same category.*

2. There is a discount of 25% on one time road tax to be paid, in case of private vehicle.

3. In case of commercial vehicle the above discount is 15%.

4. It is expected that vehicle manufacture shall offer minimum 5% discount on show room price of the vehicle.

* like scrapping a two wheeler you can avail benefits on buying two wheelers only and after scrapping four wheeler you can avail benefits on buying four wheeler.

The above scheme is announced, to be implemented in 3 phases:

In first phase:

To be implemented from 1st April 2022. Wherein all Government vehicles shall be mendatarily scrapped.

In second phase:

To be implemented from 1st April 2023, wherein all commercial vehicles shall be scrapped under this scheme.

Third and final phase:

To be implemented from 1st April 2024. Wherein all private vehicle PAN India shall be scrapped after completing the age.**

** Government intend to establish automated fitness centers PAN India to extend the life of vehicles. But this facility may not be available in Delhi NCR area.
